Basically, he felt that since our motors are forced induction, that the possible power and flow gain by going up to 1 mm oversize from .5 mm, wasn't worth reducing the integrity of the head itself (i.e. winding up with a lot more valve area, then head to support them). You should give him a call there, he can explain it far better than I can, but in the interest of longevity, I agreed with his take.
